How To Make A Construction Paper Christmas Tree Craft:
STEP 1: Start with the blue constitution paper as it is going to be the base of our Christmas tree craft. The blue construction paper will resemble the sky for our Christmas tree scene. Using white paint or marker, create a snowfall effect. Make snowflakes and add some larger dots for light snowfall. You can also add more details to make the scene as real as possible. At the bottom of the blue construction paper, draw a small semicircle to make a ground base covered in snow.
STEP 2: It’s time to make our Christmas tree out of construction paper. Take a green construction paper and cut out a large triangle. But if you want a layered Christmas tree, you will have to cut 3-4 triangles of different sizes to create a layered effect.
STEP 3: Glue these triangles on top of each other to give that layered Christmas tree look. With the help of a scissor, cut small fringes to give it a more realistic and leafy effect.
STEP 4: To make the Christmas tree trunk, take brown construction paper and cut a small rectangle. And glue it to the base of the bottom layered triangles. Now we have a complete Christmas tree craft. Glue this complete Christmas tree to the blue background, above the snow-covered ground.
STEP 5: Take red glitter glue or glitter powder, and draw a zigzag pattern on every layer that mimics the Christmas garland or Christmas string lights covering the Christmas tree. Starting from the top layer and going down all the way to the bottom layer, make sure to cover the whole Christmas tree. Let it dry completely.
STEP 6: As the glitter glue dries, it is time to decorate your construction paper tree craft. Take colorful pom-poms and glue them to each layer of the Christmas tree in random positions to mimic Christmas tree ornaments. You can also group them in clusters.
STEP 7: To add a Christmas tree topper and enhance the look of your Christmas tree craft, you can glue a yellow pom-pom or you can also make a glitter felt paper star.
STEP 8: For a more snowy effect, you can add smaller dots to mimic heavy snowfall or draw snowflakes of random sizes and make your Christmas tree scene more detailed.
STEP 9: To use this construction paper Christmas tree craft as a holiday decor piece, glue this to a sturdy cardboard base. Glue a string or a metal hook and hang it on the wall, or Christmas front porch, to give a festive vibe.
